Base

The standard trim is affordable yet well-equipped. This model has a 2.3-liter turbocharged four cylinder, a manual transmission with an available crawler gear, and four-wheel drive. You’ll also find 16-inch wheels, LED lighting, and an 8-inch touch screen. Naturally, you can add options, though. For example, drivers can opt for the available 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a special Sasquatch package, which has beadlock-capable wheels, mud tires, locking axles, and more.

Big Bend

Earning its name from a Texas National Park, this model adds 17-inch alloy wheels, 32-inch all-terrain tires, LED fog lighting, and a GOAT mode switcher — which stands for “Go Over Any Terrain.” The interior comes with leather steering, optional heated front seats (with the automatic transmission), and the aforementioned optional Sasquatch package. You can also upgrade to the Mid Package, which remote start, climate control, and Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety, among other things.

Black Diamond

Add more off-road equipment with this model. You’ll find 17-inch black wheels, vinyl-trimmed seats (which are easy to clean), and washable rubber flooring. There are auxiliary switches in the overhead console, and there’s a seventh mode to the GOAT mode switcher on this model. The Black Diamond trim also comes with the same optional equipment ats the Big Bend trim level, which includes access to the V6 powertrain, Sasquatch and Mid Packages.

Wildtrak

Built for desert driving, this model comes with a standard 2.7-liter twin-turbo and 10-speed automatic transmission. It has a Baja mode available, and an advanced four-wheel-drive system. You can opt for luxury packages as well if you prefer leather seating and other amenities. The Wildtrak also looks different than most of the other models in this lineup, as it has a black-painted hard top woof, Wildtrak hood graphics, and the signature Bronco grille.

First Edition

For those who want something that’s truly distinct, the First Edition may be the right choice. Only 3,500 of these will be offered, and only for the 2021 model year. It has all of the mechanics of the Badlands trim (such as a heavy-duty suspension), with an Outer Banks interior and Wildtrak exterior design. There’s First Edition graphics, a special hood, and other subtle design cues that remind you this is a special vehicle.

Outer Banks

Distinct from the first three trims, the Outer Banks comes with signature LED lighting, tube steps, heated seats, and an optional High Package and Lux Package, which come with leather seating. This trim level is, in short, a more luxury-based model than the others. This model only has six of the GOAT driving modes, but it offers an optional 10-speaker B&O© premium audio system, heated steering wheels, and wireless charging to help reduce clutter. Plus, with Adaptive Cruise Control, you’ll stay safer when you’re on the road.

Badlands

Named for the Badlands National Park, this model is ideal for off-road enthusiasts who want just a little extra kick. That’s because the Badlands has a heavy-duty suspension with a stabilizer bar disconnect, 17-inch wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, steel bumpers, vinyl seats and rubber flooring, and a GOAT mode switcher with seven modes. You can also add the Sasquatch, Mid, High, and Lux Packages, each of which also lets you have a leather-seat option for more refinement.
